We need more communities that welcome and embrace differences weather it be gender, gender identity, Sexual orientation, religious belief(s), or even lifestyle choices. The world would be better if more communities were like that, but in reality only a few are and they’re not the ones you think would be more accepting it usually a small town where everyone basically knows everyone and respects their neighbors’ privacy. There are big cities that are accepting like San Francisco. People need to work together to create an environment where all can be accepted, but most people don’t want to be bothered with their neighbors or anyone that can’t get them something in return because everyone wants something or they just help people so they can make themselves look like better person. This doesn’t go for everybody, but it’s true for most people in this world always wanting something for doing something for someone else. There are a few people who genuinely care about others and will go out of their way to help others. There is a story of a 9 year old girl who is building small houses for the homeless people in her area she also has a small garden where she grows food that she then donates to a local soup kitchen in her area. When I hear stories like that my faith in humanity is restored by seeing young people doing things like that. She deserves a “Civilian Service Award” for her actions of helping those less fortunate than her.
