At the ESPYs Caitlyn Jenner the Arthur Ashe Courage Award, but I want to ask where are the awards for the transgender youth who go through life everyday living as something that they’re not. They need an award for having to wake up everyday look in the mirror and see a body that doesn’t match how they feel and have to go through that everyday of their life. Because sometimes their parent don’t understand or even disown them because of the way they feel. Then their are the transgender people who don’t tell people because they themselves are unsure of their feelings or if the people around them will accept them, courage can be defined many different ways, but real courage is being strong in the face of adversity when everything in your being is telling you that you’re in the wrong body and that something isn’t right. It takes courage to wake in the morning and look in the mirror and hate what you see and still go on living your life because you have hope that things will get better and everything will work out in the end. So at the ESPY Awards Caitlyn Jenner has the chance to inspire transgender youth with her acceptance speech to keep their heads up and hope for the best, because without hope it’s pointless to even do anything. Hope can change the world and make it better place for everyone.
